Meet Katrina
The ability to access a public education is the basic floor of opportunity that allows each of us to chase the American Dream; however, the existence of public education is currently being challenged from the top down. Now more than ever we need local leaders who can stand up and support our schools. Katrina has the experience, passion, and commitment to make choices that support our students, teachers and staff while maintaining high quality public schools for our community.
Katrina has a BS in Elementary Education and fourteen years of teaching experience. She has spent seven years teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) for a large public school district and seven years teaching school law and labor relations at the graduate level. She also holds a law degree from Penn State Dickinson School of Law, and has practiced both school law and disability law. Katrina is a trained special education and disability advocate, and she is a grant writer for higher education. She is also a wife and the proud parent of 3 CB kids, two graduates and one current student.
Like many of you, Katrina and her spouse moved to this area because they wanted to raise their children in the highly regarded Central Bucks School District. She came here not only because of the quality education CBSD schools offer but also because of the strong community that has developed as a result of having good public schools.
Over the last 25 years, Katrina has been an active community member and school volunteer. She has held three elected offices in her municipality and has repeatedly stood up for our students and our schools. As a school director, Katrina will prioritize working for solutions and focus on education, not the culture wars. She will lead our District with compassion and empathy to secure a supportive and safe learning environment where all students can fully participate, learn, and succeed.
