Meet David

“An investment in knowledge pays the best interest.” This was true when Ben Franklin wrote it over two centuries ago and is even more so today. As the father of two young learners, the husband of a long-time elementary school teacher, and administrator at Temple University, David doesn’t just believe that – he lives it. It is for that reason that he is excited to run for school board director at our great Central Bucks School District.

David wants the best for all the children in the district. Given the current attempts to dismantle the Department of Education, David felt he could no longer sit on the sidelines. It’s not just about his own kids; it’s about making sure every child has the resources they need and deserve.

While earning his bachelor’s degree from Temple University, David became passionate about understanding how children grow and learn. It was that passion that carried him through his time at NYU, where he graduated with a PhD in Developmental Psychology. While at Temple, David met his amazing wife, who is a Reading Specialist in the Hatboro-Horsham School District. Every day he and his wife apply their education and

career in raising their fantastic 8-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son.

Today, David oversees the IRB at Temple University to ensure that research is conducted in an ethical, legal, and safe manner. It has been his honor to review hundreds of studies focused on enhancing learning and education, and to help teachers combine research with educational practice as they pursue graduate degrees.

If elected, David will ensure that:

  1. Our schools provide a safe and accepting environment for each and every child to learn and grow.

  2. Our teachers are given proven, effective curriculum with the proper resources to do their jobs.

  3. The school board focuses on protecting and strengthening public education, specifically including our crucial special education programs.

David stands strong for our CB public schools.
